Being a leader is a position that involves taking the helm, and therefore, assuming the responsibilities and the risks. Being a state officer would mean the world to me, for as I set out into the world this coming June 9 after I graduate from high school, I will be readying myself to take on the world.

I would like to be a state officer for many reasons. The first is because of my leadership skills. As a volunteer at my county care center and an officer for my school’s Drama Club and 4-H Club, I have to be a leader. Through learning these skills, I have thought of many ideas that could benefit and help bring together my fellow BPA members. I love helping others, and being in such a position will fulfill that passion of mine. I promise to work very hard and make the most of the wonderful opportunity if I become a state officer.

I would like to become a state officer, because I believe after serving as a local and regional officer I am ready to take the next step. BPA is an organization that has given me a jump-start on success and I would like to give back as a state officer.

Business Professionals of America has given me the opportunity to challenge myself and to prepare for my future. I want to achieve the status of a state officer because it is a great way to showcase my abilities and make a difference. I am passionate about helping others, and I am confident in my leadership abilities to guide our members through an exciting year. My local and regional positions have allowed me to build a foundation. Each member serves as a piece of the puzzle. I would be honored to be a part in the creation of the big picture!

I would like to be an Ohio Association State Officer because I believe that I have the ability to positively represent the Business Professionals of America students of Ohio. I would like to lead us to success in the world of business and in life. I am a positive role model and set high standards for myself and other students to strive for. I will contribute to the excellent reputation of the Ohio Association, and I will Stand Out From the Crowd and lead the Ohio Association successfully to Nationals.

BPA provides an opportunity for people of all types to gather and share. For example, my chapter includes football players, video gamers, and everyone in between. This diversity is what makes BPA such a unique organization. This is the reason I am an active member of BPA and want to run for state office.

Last year I served as the Region 16 treasurer and really enjoyed it. That experience made me realize how much I love being a part of BPA. I decided to run for a state office because I greatly enjoy being involved in BPA and student activities. I will take my state position very seriously and represent the student membership voices of BPA well. When elected, I will take your ideas to the state level to improve Business Professionals of America.

Being a state office is an enormous responsibility and requires someone who is continuously involved in BPA and is a true LEADER! I am a LEADER! I’m currently Vice President of my regional area as well as Parliamentarian of local chapter with BPA. I am also President of my class. I have a passion for helping others; I am confident, exciting, courageous, positive, and memorable! I am a leader who stands out from the crowd and is FOR the crowd! As an officer, I will make Ohio shine! I will make BPA shine!—Vote Kristina Thomas!

There are many reasons why I want to be a state officer. As a state officer, I will have the opportunity to serve my fellow members of BPA in a positive way. I enjoy working with others, planning activities, and networking. These are essential qualities of a good officer. I have served as a local and regional officer and through these positions I have become a better leader, friend, and mentor. Being elected as a state officer is my dream. My experience in BPA has been rewarding and I would love to give back what I have been given.

I want to be a state officer for Ohio BPA because I love to be in a position of leadership. I want to be able to help my fellow BPA members succeed in anything they want to do. I want to become a strong leader and make a difference in the world. By becoming a state officer, I will be one step closer to achieving those goals.

A state officer position would be very important to me. This position would offer the opportunities and leadership experience I desire. I want to represent the student members with my ideas, commitment, and hard work. To give back to such a great organization that has opened up the doors to my future would be very rewarding. I am grateful for this wonderful opportunity.

Business Professionals of America thrives on professionalism and leadership in order to run smoothly. I believe I can bring professionalism and leadership into the state officer team with my experience this past year. I have learned so much through the guidance of Ms. Trent and Ms. Paulus. I feel with me on the team this year, I can help the new officers and be there for them when Ms. Trent and Ms. Paulus aren’t available. Sarah Crist and Jake Powell did a great job showing me the ropes last year. This year it is my turn to do the same.

As a senior now, I look back on my junior year and realize how incredibly my skills were strengthened by Business Professionals of America. I believe these skills are at their peak. I am ready to be the best leader I can through Business Professionals of America. I want to give back for what has been given to me. I believe something you put that much time into is not a second term deserved, but earned. Thus I would consider it an honor to serve a second term for the Ohio Association.
