About the
Association...
Business Professionals of America, Ohio Association, is a
career-technical student organization (CTSO) consisting of 18
regions located throughout Ohio. Each region has a student
leadership team that, with the assistance of advisors, sets the
direction for its region.
The Ohio Association has a student leadership team consisting of
a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian and
Parliamentarian. The State Leadership Team is responsible for
setting and carrying out yearly goals for the Association. In
addition, the team is responsible for planning two major annual
conferences.
·
Fall Leadership Conference
in November.
Participants attend a series of interactive leadership
development workshops. The state officer team is elected at this
conference. Open to both secondary and post-secondary members.

Competitive events are the first day; awards are presented the
second day. Separate events and locations for secondary and
post-secondary competitors.
The Ohio Association is the largest state association within
Business Professionals of America with approximately 8,500
secondary and post-secondary members. While the majority of
members enroll during their junior or senior year of high
school, high school freshmen and sophomores enrolled in business
programs are encouraged to take advantage of the benefits the
Ohio Association has to offer. Ohio also has post-secondary
chapters at 10 Ohio colleges, as well as a virtual chapter for
former secondary BPA members whose college does not host a BPA
chapter.
